Sovereignty is Not a Federal Program
On July 5th, 2026, the Libertarian National Committee unanimously adopted the Resolution on Tribal and National Sovereignty. We covered it on this blog and were proud to do so. Now, party leadership is telling our members to mobilize behind a group whose goal is increase permanent federal control of land. Hawaiʻi will not be taking the bait. We’ve been sold this trade before. Hawaii knows all too well about what happens when native peoples trade in sovereignty. We have rece

Bankrolling Both Ends | Part 2
Two laws signed in 2025 put the State of Hawaiʻi behind the payments owed under new power purchase agreements (Act 191) and opened HECO's grid to independent producers starting in 2027 (Act 258).

Our current bylaws say very little about how revisions are supposed to happen. To keep the work sound, the committee leaned on Robert's Rules of Order Newly Revised to create

2026 Legislative Wrap Up
The gavel has come down on the 2026 Hawaii legislative session, and it was the most active, most effective session in LPHI history. From the opening day gavel on January 15 to the final adjournment on May 8, our team tracked 274 bills and 208 of those fights ended the way liberty needed them to. That's a 75.9% win rate. Roughly three victories for every loss.
If you testified, called your representative, shared a blog post, donated, or simply showed up, this is your win t
