Dangerous Reform Disguised as Voter Choice | Oppose SB2480
Oppose SB2480 the bill pairs this "open-voting" reform with a far more problematic top-two rule: Only the two candidates receiving the most votes in the primary, regardless of party, advance to the November general election. This creates an artificial bottleneck that overrides the benefits of expanded primary choice. It risks turning general elections into contests between two similar candidates from the dominant party.
